Solar First Group Backs Launch of TGI Solar Power Learning Center

Solar First Group Backs Launch of TGI Solar Power Learning Center

September 10, 2026

On September 4, 2026, the Thai-German Institute (TGI) Solar Power Learning Center was officially inaugurated in Chonburi Province, Thailand. This learning center also functions as a structured solar technology training course for Thailand’s industrial sector, designed to deliver knowledge and skills across the full cycle of solar power system design, installation, and operation and maintenance. As a major sponsor, Solar First Group contributed funding and presented its key equipment. Three products—BIPV curtain walls, ground mounting systems, and rooftop mounting systems—are to remain on long-term display at the center, acting as a practical technology demonstration venue for cultivating talent in Thailand’s solar industry.

The Thai-German Institute is a non-profit entity co-founded by the Thai and German governments in 1992. Under the umbrella of the Industrial Development Foundation of Thailand’s Ministry of Industry, it has long focused on transferring advanced manufacturing technologies to Thailand’s industrial sector and is well known for its training strengths in automation, tool and die technology, precision measurement, and robotics. The launch of this solar power training center represents a major move in the institute’s push to broaden its renewable energy technology training offerings and will strongly assist Thailand’s industrial sector in upgrading its clean energy technology.

Under the collaboration plan, the learning center will fulfill several roles, including technical demonstrations of solar power generation systems, hands-on training, and industry exchanges. The BIPV curtain walls, ground mounting systems, and rooftop mounting systems supplied by Solar First Group will act as main display units and remain on long-term exhibit at the training site, enabling trainees and visiting companies to inspect and study them at close range. These products embody Solar First’s latest R&D accomplishments in solar mounting systems. They span a broad spectrum of applications—including building-integrated solar systems, ground power plants, and rooftop distributed systems—and will offer useful technical guidance for local engineering and technical personnel in Thailand.

Solar First Group is a top domestic supplier and maker of BIPV solutions, solar tracker systems, flexible mounting system solutions, and floating photovoltaic mounting system solutions. The company is certified as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a Municipal Specialized, Refined, Unique and Innovative Enterprise. It has a professional R&D team and has set up an R&D center with key universities both domestically and internationally. Its products have secured global certifications including CE, UL, TUV, and SGS, along with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 system certifications; the company holds dozens of invention patents, utility model patents, and software copyright registrations. Its distribution network reaches all of China and major global regions including Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, East Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Guided by its corporate philosophy of "New Energy, New World," Solar First Group is dedicated to advancing the innovative development of the photovoltaic industry through advanced technologies. Its involvement in the co-development project of the Thai-German Institute Solar Power Learning Center marks another key move by Solar First Group to strengthen its footprint in Thailand and Southeast Asia. With BIPV photovoltaic curtain walls, ground-mounted mounting systems, and rooftop mounting systems now permanently established at the Thai-German Institute Learning Center, Solar First Group will draw on strong local technical display and service strengths to continuously support workforce development and technology upgrading within Thailand’s photovoltaic industry, adding Chinese enterprise strength to the region’s green energy transition.
