Solar First was honored with the Xiamen Innovation Award

On September 8, 2021, Xiamen Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone (Xiamen Torch Hi-tech Zone) held a signing ceremony for key investment promotion projects, with over 40 projects signing and settling down on the spot. The Solar First New Energy Research and Development Center project, jointly built by China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Xiamen University and the Solar First Group, is one of the key projects signed this time.

During the same period, the 21st China International Fair for Investment and Trade (referred to as "CIFIT") was held in Xiamen. The China International Fair for Investment and Trade is an important international event aimed at promoting two-way investment between China and foreign countries. It is held in Xiamen, China from September 8th to 11th every year. After more than two decades of development, the China International Fair for Investment and Trade has become one of the most influential international investment events in the world.

This year's China International Fair for Investment and Trade, with the theme of "New Opportunities for International Investment under the New Development Pattern", showcased the hot trends and key industrial achievements in green economy, carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, digital economy, etc.

As a leading enterprise in the global photovoltaic industry, Solar First Group has been committed to high-tech research and development and production in the solar energy field for over a decade, actively responding to the national policy call for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.

Relying on the platform of the China International Fair for Investment and Trade, the Solar First New Energy Research and Development Center project was officially signed on the afternoon of September 8th. This project is jointly promoted and implemented by CMEC, Xiamen University, the Management Committee of Xiamen Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, the People's Government of Jimei District, Xiamen City, Xiamen Information Group and Solar First Group.

The Solar First New Energy Research and Development Center project is invested and established by Xiamen Solar First Energy Technology Co., LTD., dedicated to building a cluster of new energy research institutions.

Xiamen Solar First will carry out in-depth cooperation with the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Xiamen University in the third phase of Xiamen Software Park. The joint construction contents include: a new energy technology export base, an energy storage industry-university-research base, a new energy application research and development center, and a BRICS carbon neutrality industry-university-research integration research center. This center will serve as the technical support platform, application implementation entity and main capital injection platform for CMEC's project investment in Xiamen.

In the context of global climate change and the adjustment of the national energy structure, Xiamen Solar First will join hands with CMEC to jointly support the development of the Solar First New Energy R&D Center project and actively respond to China's goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
