Background: Completed in late 2012 and grid-connected in 2013, Kuala Lumpur International Airport remains Solar First's first and largest Southeast Asian airport PV project, now operating flawlessly for 11 years.
The three-day International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia 2023 (IGEM 2023) concluded successfully on October 6.
At this exhibition, Solar First showcased its TGW floating PV series, Horizon tracking systems, rooftop PV mounting structures, waterproof solar carports, and balcony mounting solutions at Booth 1095-1098 in Hall 1 of the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre. The company attracted both new and returning domestic and international visitors through innovative products and premium services.
Industry peers visited Solar First's booth to examine its latest R&D achievements, expressing strong recognition of the company's technological capabilities. The newly launched BIPV waterproof carport proved particularly noteworthy. This rainproof canopy structure demonstrates strong market adaptability, seamlessly integrating with building rooftops while being suitable for PV carports, sunrooms, and industrial plants. Its drainage design and structural components feature innovative engineering that combines installation efficiency with aesthetic appeal, promoting green environmental protection and low-carbon lifestyles while pioneering new pathways for sustainable energy development.
A special honor occurred when Judy Zhou, General Manager of Solar First, was received by YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Malaysia's Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change. Ms. Zhou shared Solar First's project experience in Malaysia (where the company has ranked as Malaysia's top PV mounting products supplier for eight consecutive years), while presenting the company's photovoltaic sector strategy, future plans, and R&D direction. Minister Nik Ahmad offered full commendation for Solar First's accomplishments.
To celebrate IGEM 2023's successful conclusion, Solar First representatives and their Malaysian agency team held a cordial gathering reflecting the company's values of contractual integrity, environmental respect, and humanitarian care. Both parties expressed mutual appreciation for their 13-year partnership of trust and support. All stakeholders committed to strengthening exchange visits and making joint efforts toward common development.
